For nature lovers and the curious

Located next to Montamer beach, A.N.C.R.E. Maritaise (acronym for Arts Nature Culture Recherche Écluses) offers free access from Easter to All Saints Day to discover the rich natural and built heritage of the Ile de Ré.

The A.N.C.R.E. Maritaise is made up of four recognized naturalist, environmentalist and heritage associations, including 3 local associations: ADEPIR, Ré Nature Environnement, les Tardigrades and the national LPO (Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux).
Their common aim is to raise visitors’ awareness of the island’s biodiversity and its conservation.

Permanent and temporary themed exhibitions, naturalist outings, guided tours of fish locks, conferences, shows and workshops are just some of the activities that will immerse you in the unspoilt nature of the Ile de Ré.
