With a strong commitment to protecting our environment, our teams work hard every day to ensure you enjoy a stay where comfort rhymes with nature. Since 2021, the campsite has held the Green Key Label, the 1st ecolabel for tourist accommodation, enabling the development of sustainable, ecologically virtuous and socially responsible tourism.

All the more reason to travel gently from the north to the south of the island: since June 2022, the campsite has held the “Accueil Vélo” label. This label guarantees that you will have a covered and closed bicycle shelter, a complete repair kit, a socket for recharging your VAE and direct access to a secure itinerary. Ain’t life grand?

During your stay, discover the life of bees thanks to the installation of a beehive from Abeille de Ré, the island’s honey factory, sponsored by the establishment. You’ll also be able to take part in a range of workshops led by professionals. Also an LPO refuge, L’Océan is involved in awareness-raising initiatives for young people. The aim? To actively protect biodiversity and pass on the right messages to future generations.

To complete the picture, you can also pick up your bio-seal at the campsite reception desk, so that you can sort your waste for composting and contribute to the upkeep of the plantations that adorn the site. A tide bin has also been installed at the campsite’s beach access, where you can dispose of any garbage collected during your beach outings. And, for those with a sweet tooth who don’t want to miss a single morsel, the L’Océan mini-market is a partner of Too Good To Go, which sells unsold food in the form of baskets to be saved, at knock-down prices.

With entertainment starting as soon as the campsite opens, whether you’re sunbathing, reading or lazing around, there’s something for everyone. Make yourself comfortable in the sunbeds set up around the pools, and take full advantage of the 420 m² fully heated pool complex.

Want to relax in total serenity? The Spa Océan, which has been awarded the Spa de France 4 lotus label, offers you an escape from the hustle and bustle with its various massage rooms, hydromassage bath and water bed, saunas, hammam and jacuzzi. The herbal tea room, an essential stop-off point to round off your moment of relaxation, will also seduce you.

And while you’re lounging around, the kids’ club, open to 5-12 year-olds and teenagers during the summer season, the playground and mini-golf course will keep the whole family entertained! To top it all off, the secure, private lake inside the campsite offers angling sessions and introductory optimist courses.

Camping de l’Océan was a wonderful adventure for us during our stay on the Ile de Ré. We were made particularly welcome by the on-site staff, who carry with them the good humor and values of the campsite. The campsite’s location is idyllic, and the on-site services are practical when you don’t want to waste time running around to do your shopping, for example. Particular mention should be made of the range of local products on offer at the mini-market, and the installation of a beehive sponsored by the campsite to support local biodiversity.
