At Holland Bikes
we’ve been promoting ecomobility for 20 years, offering quality products that are reliable and can be repaired over time for long-term use, synonymous with responsible consumption.
The island of Ré is therefore an ideal playground for promoting cycling and letting visitors from near and far enjoy it!
Today, bicycles play a key role in the daily lives of many people. Would you say that Holland Bikes is helping to make this means of transport a matter of course, even on vacation?
Indeed, cycling is part of an ecological and active vacation dynamic. You can easily cover 30 to 50 kilometers a day in the saddle, making cycling the perfect way to discover the island of Ré. Holland Bikes location has selected the best of Dutch cycling for you, and invites you to take advantage of it during your visit to the area.
What makes you so different from other bike rental shops on the island of Ré?
We were the first bike rental store to offer cargo bikes and special bikes like the children’s-adult tandem or the longtail. Today, we use these special cycles to differentiate ourselves, especially as we’re the only one to have such a large fleet, enabling us to respond to a growing number of requests. The big advantage is that these bikes are aimed at families, many of whom come to stay with us. They make it easy to carry souvenirs, picnics and smiles, all in comfort! An unforgettable experience in the heart of Ile de Ré, where simplicity meets Dutch expertise.
And for visitors looking for a more sporty experience, do you have a specific offer?
Yes, at Holland Bikes, our strength is also our capacity for innovation. Every year we introduce new bikes and offer new activities. Since 2023, we’ve been suggesting high-quality electric mountain bike rides, during which we accompany our customers along sand, forest and dirt paths through the woods of the Ile de Ré. It’s a great way to get off the beaten track, with a unique cycling circuit that’s far off the beaten track and unknown to other cyclists. If you like adventure, come and visit us to explore the island of Ré in a revolutionary way.
