The markets of Ile de Ré, to your baskets!

The markets of the Ile de Ré: a vacation atmosphere with local flavors!

Discover the flavours of the land

There’s no better way to discover the delights of a region than to stroll through its markets.
Local producers, craftsmen and souvenir vendors set up stalls selling fruit and vegetables, cheeses, butcheries, seafood, fine clothes and accessories, soaps and other body care products…
Colors and scents to delight all the senses.

These moments of discovery of local products from the Reta region give rise to warm encounters with local artisans.

A market for every village!

Every market on the Ile de Ré has its own particularity.

In La Flotte, the medieval-inspired architecture makes it an emblematic place, while Ars-en-Ré is the most popular, Bois-plage-en-Ré the largest, La Couarde the most family-oriented and Loix the most intimate. Each market has a different atmosphere, reflecting the soul of the village. You can sense and appreciate this as you linger in these lively bazaars.

Markets all year round!

There’s always a market to visit on the Ile de Ré.
In season, from April to October, they’re open every day from 8am to 1pm, in every village.
In winter, they remain open on certain days of the week, depending on the village.

Themed markets, such as farmer’s markets, farmers’ markets, etc., take place on specific days throughout the year.

In July and August, night markets bring your evenings to a close!

How about a cup of coffee?

Coffee lovers, take advantage of your getaway to sample the coffees of the island’s roasters!
