Geocaching is a treasure hunt on foot over a few kilometers, using your satellite positioning (GPS). All you need is your smartphone to set off in search of the “caches” hidden along the way!
If you just want to use a hiking GPS, or if you’re worried about running out of battery, a paper version of the map is also available from the island’s reception desks.
The advantage is that you can start and finish the tour whenever you like, and discover the island off the beaten track.

🚶The 6.5km “Ré, une note mystère” trail
This trail takes you through the village of Loix, one of the 10 villages on the Ile de Ré. Once there, visualize your position, then embark on the adventure and let yourself be surprised! Pick up the clues, solve the various riddles to display the coordinates of the next stages, until you succeed in revealing the location of the cache, the treasure of the course! There’s plenty of fun to be had with family and friends!

🚲 The 9km “En selle moussaillons” course
This course takes you through the village of Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré.

This bike tour goes through the city: be careful and watch out for traffic! When approaching private property, make sure you stop in a way that won’t inconvenience local residents.
